Dr Kathryn Collins
Kathryn is a Senior Environmental Consultant with over 8 years’ experience within marine environmental research, industry and regulation. Her PhD in Environmental (Marine) Planning was completed in 2020 and explored offshore consenting with a focus on stakeholder consultation and the regulatory assessment decision-making process.
Kathryn has previously worked for the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) where she gained a wealth of consenting experience on a wide range of offshore projects including offshore wind, marine aggregates and dredging, carbon capture and storage and subsea cables. She has experience at all stages of the EIA process, from screening to post-consent monitoring. Kathryn has undertaken numerous EIA screening and scoping opinions, Appropriate Assessments, Water Frameworks Directive Assessments and Marine Conservation Zone Assessments.
In addition, Kathryn has project management experience gained within both the public and private sector, as well as within academia. Kathryn has successfully managed numerous offshore consent processes and has a wide range of stakeholder consultation experience, gained both on- and offshore.
